Ah, yoga... As cliché as it may seem, I started my relationship with yoga at the same time as another relationship was falling apart. 5 years ago, I walked into a hot yoga studio in Ottawa, started the intro month and it's been love ever since. I was embraced by the yoga community and my time on my mat at the studio felt like home away from home. Then came the need to expand my horizon and, following the advise of an avid ashtanga practitioner, I found myself in my first Ashtanga Mysore class in January 2017. It is a hard and beautiful practice, one that I feel humbled by and privileged to practice.
